Nancy Nelson, Author
Nancy Nelson is the author of the Pup Tales children’s book series, a collection of colorfully illustrated, rhyming stories featuring four-legged friends navigating challenges, friendships, and everyday life lessons. With seven books published and an eighth on the way, Nancy draws inspiration from the dogs she has known and loved throughout her life.
A former newspaper reporter, columnist, and editor, Nancy began her writing career in the Cleveland area after growing up in Chicago. She later wrote two novels under the pen name Eleanor Kelley.
Her lifelong love of rhyme and animals eventually inspired Pup Tales. By weaving the personalities, quirks, and adventures of dogs into her stories, Nancy creates entertaining books that encourage young readers to see challenges and mistakes as opportunities to learn, grow, and discover something new.
